Date: 05-03-2016 / 06-03-2016
Location: Google Campus - 4-5 Bonhill St, Shoreditch, London EC2A 4BX, United Kingdom

Our Aim

The aim of the hackathon is to build the basic structure of an App to help migrants understand how the UK healthcare system works. Currently migrants to the UK receive no information about how to navigate the NHS healthcare system appropriately.

They learn by trial and error, sometimes with a cost to their own health, and often at the financial expense of the NHS. We want you to join us! Coders, designers and well meaning souls of all kinds, why not contact us to help make a real difference to the lives of refugees and migrants.

If you join this event we will message or email you a short questionnaire to determine how you could best help us. Space is limited, so we will be operating a selection process to make sure we can complete our project as successfully as possible.

This is an entirely not-for-profit enterprise, and the resulting smartphone app will belong to the NHS and be free to download.
